Getting a tour from an archaeologist was well worth the price. He was able to show us recent discoveries and take us to parts of Pompeii that other tour groups were not taking the time to visit. “The tour guide was very knowledgeable about Pompeii history and very eager to educate us, but she spent too much time giving us every detail and so we spent a lot of time in one spot and moved very slowly. It was hard for our teens as well as ourselves to keep focused after a point. Her accent was very thick and my youngest son barely understood her.
