After a short delay at check in because they couldn’t locate my reservation we had a tour via golf cart. Sam was an American college student working for the summer. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the vineyard and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Next we enjoyed a sample of some sparkling wine and were taken to our table under the grape vines. “Transportation is efficient and friendly. The hosts at the winery are do knowledgeable and friendly. We sampled five wines and a grappa, officially, with lovely, freshly-prepared food, but had the option of sampling two additional wines, and could even have enjoyed more. We had an interesting and entertaining tour of the vineyard from Giovanni, and Giusy and he were so attentive at our table. All wines are delicious, and all organically produced. This was our second visit within the year, and I'd more than happily go back in the very near future, (I'd happily go once a week if truth be told...just a shame that the vineyard isn't just around…”

The feeling on standing on that historic site and seeing that lost city was amazing. The Casasetaro Winery was somewhat of a disappointment.
