There was a little confusion about our schedule but he helped sort it all out and we had a great time in walking around and had a nice lunch in Sorrento before going to Pompeii. Back to the ship with time to spare. Overall very satisfied with the trip.”

A few clicks later, the duration had been reduced to 4 hours—and in reality, we received just 3.5 hours, including an unnecessary mid-tour break. The tour also started 20 minutes late because the guide had to wait in line to purchase tickets, which was surprising given it was marketed as a "skip-the-line" experience. We paid $300 per person—$600 total—for what turned out to be a shortened and somewhat disorganized tour. While the pricing was clearly stated, it’s unclear why we were charged double when the guide provided the same service to two people as he would have to…”

“seemless transfers departure point in centre near ruins, so easy to find accommodating giving out QR code for Pompei instead of using audio (if opting for audio then you need to leave ID and return by 5.25pm, thereby missing about 1.5hrs of time at the Pompei site [summer hours]). Given you have paid entry until 7.00pm, ask for QR code instead (you need at least 3-4hrs to see the main sites and asking you to leave after 2.25hrs to return their equipment defeats the purpose of staying in Pompei).”

“While our driver was very pleasant we didn't get anything out of this "tour". This should be retitled as a "private transfer service." If you're looking for a tour book something else. This was a private van service and nothing more. Not worth the money we spent. I did read the details and understood that the driver wouldn't be giving us tours of each location but the driver was mostly silent and didn't point out anything of interest along the way.”

“The visit to Pompeii with the guide was really great, a passionate person who shared all his knowledge with pleasure. We don't regret having taken a guide to visit Pompeii, which we found indispensable. We were in a bit of a hurry after Pompeii to catch the bus to Vesuvius (barely enough time to buy a sandwich to eat), so plan your meal in advance. The visit to Vesuvius is self-guided with an audio-guide, so you have plenty of time to get on and off in 2 hours. The bus driver was very nice, but the heat in the bus was stifling (no air-conditioning and no windows).Read more”
